He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Alexander and Gertrude Alexander; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Charles Nicks; and his friend Ida Mae Kaltenecker.

He is survived by: his nephew Charles Nicks (Anne Walker); his nieces, Kathryn Sargent, Patricia Nicks (Larry Patton) and Susan Schular; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexandra Beiner (Allen Suigu), Kathryn Sargent Marino (Steven Marino), Joseph Beiner (Celia Carr) and Robert Sargent (Corinne Kenny); his caregiver Meals; and also JD Marino.
