He was predeceased by: his son George; his parents, Connie Shaw and George Bremner; and his sister-in-law Marlene Puttick. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sons, Kirk (Jackie Craig), Kevin (Nicole), Kris (Lori Littleton), Keith (Eric Prentice) and Kyle; his sister Karen Gates; his sister-in-law June Jenkins (David); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Chloe, Keegan, Emma, Addison, Tristan, Ashton and Travis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Canadian Blood Services and the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
