He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Jariett; his sister-in-law Sylvia Landrie (Lawrence); and his parents-in-law, Marcel and Amanda Laprairie. He is survived by: his wife Julie; his sister Joyce Throop (Colin); his sister-in-law Denise Laprairie; his niece Cindy Szaro (Tommy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Amanda and Cassie; his niece Sheri Whyte (Mike); his great-nephew Max; his great-niece Sophia; and his nephew Paul Throop (Tanya). He is also survived by his extended family and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kim's memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society for Prostate Cancer, and would be appreciated by his family.
