He was predeceased by: his parents, Angela Durante and Joseph Durante; and his son-in-law Donald Dickson. He is survived by: his wife Lucy; his children, Grace Maskell, Maria Knowles (Jim), Gloria Lagace, Frank Durante, Fort Erie and Bonnie Dickson; his grandchildren, Scott (Diana), Shannon (Ryan), Sean, Sarah (Kwame), Stephanie, Kelly, Matt (Marlene), Steven (Nola), Keith (Caroline), Jessica (Nate), Michelle (Derek), Laura (Mark), David and Kelsey (Jack); his great grandchildren, Audrey, James, Cole, Ethan, Andrew, Marcus, Joey, Dylan and Ella; his sister Ines McGowan (John); and also, Debbie and Darrow.
