He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Gibson; his parents, Hertha and Lorne; and his brother Tommy. He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara and Lauren; his brother-in-law Frank; his son Dexter Gibson; his grandchild Neo Gibson; and his children, Andrew (Emily), Amanda, Elizabeth and Victoria Gibson.

A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Benner Funeral Services (1105 Benner Ave, Fort Erie, ON L2A 4N8). A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the same location.
