He was predeceased by: his parent Pacifico; his parent-in-law Catherine Senese; his sibling-in-law Jean Solose; and his siblings, Uncle Fedele Sacco (Giovanna), Uncle Antonio Sacco (Giovanna), Aunt Cristina Stranges (Bruno) and Uncle Luigi Villella (Lucia).
He is survived by: his parent Giovanna; his spouse Marie; his children, Cathy Cicchino, Richard Cicchino and Jennifer Cicchino (Mark); his grandchildren, Julianna Cicchino, Madalynn Cicchino and Emily Cicchino; his siblings, Antoinette Vescio (Frank), Rose Goffredo (late Rocco), Mary Martin (Gary), Teresa Sexton (Cliff) and Linda Woods (late Bill); his parent-in-law Leo Senese; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Beauparlant (John) and Tom Senese (Darlene).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Battista may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation towards either Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Palliative Care, and would be appreciated by his family.
