He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shirley Jolly, Alma Dubois and Dean (late Jean); and his parents, Robert Stewardson and Lizzie Stewardson.

He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Patti Vandenboer (Casey), Janet Dudman (Bob), Karen Whitbread (David) and Kevin Stewardson (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Trevor (Cora), Darcy (Karlee), Kelli (Kevin), Cory, Shawn, Mitchell (Phalen), Chad, Emilie, Dylan, Tyler, Ashleigh (Chris) and Nathan; his great grandchildren, Bryson, Sunni, Mason, Ben and Cody; his sister Betty (late Bill Douglas); and his brother-in-law James Jolly.
