He is survived by: his wife Margaret Swoboda (Otto); his children, Jonathan (Swati), Dwayne (Stefanie), Jeremy (Shelby), Andrew (Karina), Bethany (Chelson) and Michael White; his grandchildren, Grace, Emma, Maya, Jack, Evelyn, Trevor, Adeline, Emelia and Chloe; and his siblings, Frieda Goncalves, Rosemarie Vandenbrink and Marg Phillips.

I am also grateful for the plants he gave to me over the years for my garden. I still have the blackberry bushes he gave me and enjoyed a bumper crop of berries this year.
