He was predeceased by: his siblings, Annie, Sandy, Willie, Chrissy, Jock, Victor, Mary, Arthur and Margaret.

He is survived by: his wife Gwen (Herdman); his daughters, Yvonne Flett (Raymond), Sonia Smith and Lorene Smith; his grandchildren, Scott (Fiona), Lynsay, Blair (Steve), Melissa (Tyler), Hayley, Jesse, Vicki (Isaac), Hunter, Ryder, Norah, Callum and Joey; and his brother Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Groves Memorial Community Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
