We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2022, at the age of 85, Ronald Boyer (Fonthill, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Kirk-Boyer; his children, Kimberly Kisel (Michael), Kristen Dajka (Stephen), Katrina Buiter (Greg) and Ron Jr. Boyer (Jackie); his grandchildren, Aaron Kisel (Mallory Landry), Abbey Martin (Jack), Karley, Sydney, Lyndsay Dajka, Jack, Joshua, Kyle Buiter, Jordyn, Jillian and Jessica Boyer; the mother of his children Vicki; his sister-in-law Valerie Hammond (Don); his friends, Dave Thomas, Vince Baldo and Josephine Callaghan; and his child Thank You'.

Donations to Heart and Stroke, Alzheimer Society of Niagara or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family.

“Our deepest condolences to Ron's family from all of us at the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Association (CCFA), Niagara.. With his failing health, Ron's invaluable contributions to the Canada-Cuba solidarity work we do has been sorely missed. He was a friend to all of us, a hardworking contributor to our work and a political leader. The attached photo shows Ron, in 2012, with Cuba's Ambassador to Canada, Her Excellency Teresita de Jesus Vincente Sotolongo, at a picnic lunch at Dufferin Islands following a book launch at Table Rock commemorating the life of Cuban poet Jose Mariea Heredia.
