He was predeceased by: his mother Jeanne; his stepfather Don Neill; his stepbrother Doug Neill; his sister-in-law Margo Vandertouwe; and his in-laws, LeMert and Helen Bell.

He is survived by: his spouse Cathi; his children, Mike Sinclair (Jenn) and Laura Vargas (Phil); his siblings, Dave Sinclair and Sue Barnett (Gil); his stepsiblings, Rob Neill (Pat) and Diane Neill; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Neill and Margaret Hoplight (Blair).

In keeping with this spirit, donations can be made to the Niagara Humane Society and SPCA in his honour.
