He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Assunta; his parents, Luciano Paolo and Carmela; and his siblings, Maddalena, Giuseppina, Lorenzina, Saveria and Generosa.

He is survived by: his children, Paul (Tamra Colangelo) of Etobicoke, Carmela Colangelo of Welland, Luigi (Kimberlee Colangelo) of Welland and Maria (Mike Shaw) of Welland; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Martin (Louisa), Zackary (Jenn), Kaylee, Taz and Victoria (Joe).

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Prostate Cancer Research.
