She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar; her son Sheldon Merilou; and her siblings, Leo, Roger, Glen and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Ayres; her grandchildren, Graham (Cindy), Shawn, Ashley, Aaron (Amber), Mallory (Patrick), Keri (Jason) and Jamie; her great grandchildren, Justin, Logan, Amron, Berron, Jackson, Marissa, Isabelle, Theodore, Jeffrey and Joey; her siblings, Wesley (late Eileen), Carson (Shirley), Ken (Ina) and Allen (late Joan); and her sisters-in-law, Doreen and Pearl. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
