He was predeceased by: his wife Julia; his parents, John Helstab and Rosalia Helstab; and his sister Maria Burgert. He is survived by: his children, Susan, Edmond (Colleen Kelley), Judy George (David) and Nancy (Jean McKen); and his grandchildren, Genevieve Westrope (Mike Tempest), Joseph, Lauren, Justine, Morgan Simmonds, Tricia, Kimmy and Shelly George.
