He was predeceased by: his father Donald Smith; his brother Ron; his parents-in-law, Percy and Beatrice Way; and his brother-in-law Josef Speer.
He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his children, Peter (Sherry) of Penhold, AB and Kelita Pumfrey (Jason) of Newbury; his grandchildren, McKinley, Hudson, Adelyn, Charleigh Moreland, Callie, Casey and Corey Pumfrey; his mother Lucille Smith; his siblings, Rick Moreland (Colleen), Donald Smith (Ann), Karen Smith (Jamie Woods) and Diane Sweeney (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Randy Way, Betty Speer (Doug Dunstan) and Arlene Moreland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fawcett Funeral Home (1 Highland Dr, Flesherton, ON N0C1E0). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Sick Kids Foundation or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
