He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Talbot and Rose Talbot; his brother Henry Talbot; his uncle George Talbot; his brothers-in-law, Eric Bittorf, Jack Lawr and Mel Lloyd; and his son-in-law Alex Hamelin.

He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his children, Heather Ashley (Stephen) of Chatsworth, Lee (Jenn) of Burks Falls, Neil (Lori) of Berkeley and Jamie (Maggie) of Flesherton; his grandchildren, Kyle (Chloe), Natasha, Vanessa (Ian), Drew, Trenton, Maggie, Katie, Eric, Hailey, Brayden, Taylor, Dylan, Dyson and Claira; his sisters, Doreen Lawr and Brenda Lloyd (Matt); and his siblings-in-law, Audrey Bradley (Don), Peggy Bittorf and Bruce Bittorf (Jeannie). He is also survived by his 6 great-grandchildren.
