He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Taralea of Moorefield; his children, Vicki Pietz (Kevin), Jody Hastie, Gregory DeMeuleneare (Jessica), Amy Hopkins and Geoffrey DeMeuleneare (Kate); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Gavin, Mason, Georgia, Ashtyn and Evance; his siblings, Robert Scammell (Julie), Marion Mower (Ron) and Allan Scammell (Joy); and his parents, Fred Scammell and Vera Scammell.
