He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Hamilton and Ida Hamilton; and his siblings, Elma (John MacKinnon), Clarence Hamilton (Eleanor), James Hamilton and Garnet Hamilton (Florence).

He is survived by: his sister Donna Jean Hamilton of Guelph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
