As we bid Elisabeth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Elisabeth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Smella and Mary Smella; and her brothers, Frank Smella (late Esther) and Steve Smella. She is survived by: her husband William (Bill); her stepchildren, Jeffrey Hemmings (Fleur) and Amy Hemmings; her sisters, Mary Hilda'Dai' Gaasenbeek (late Matthew) and Anne McNairn (Tom); her sister-in-law Barbara Butterfield (late Jack); and also Dai.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Brightshores Health System Owen Sound, Oncology Unit would be greatly appreciated.
