He was predeceased by: his wife Heather; his parents, Alec Aberdein and Jessie Aberdein; and his siblings, Donelda Wellwood, Erma Stephenson (Jim), Gerald "Jake" and Bill (Janet).

He is survived by: his sons, Ross (Jill) of Mississauga and Scott of Rocklyn; his grandchildren, Kevin, Madeline, James, Liam and Nathan; his sibling Shirley Peebles of Hanover; and his siblings-in-law, Velma Aberdein and Bryan Wellwood.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception Ltd. (1 Highland Dr, Flesherton, ON N0C1E0). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
