He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jim and Elma; and his sister-in-law Florence. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Patricia Waller (Bob) of Burlington, Kevin of Williamsford, Diane Smith (Brian) of Port Elgin, Rob (Joan) and Tracey Conn (Steve) of Thornbury; his grandchildren, Ryan Waller (Caleigh), Timothy Waller (Bethany), Kendra Sullivan (Liam) of Wiarton, Dan Smith (Chantelle Burgess) of Kitchener, Mitchell Conn (Kylie Winters) of Thornbury and Adam Conn (Brianna Blackburn) of Richmond Hill; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Rowan Waller; his siblings, Garnet of Owen Sound, Harold, Flesherton and Donna of Guelph; and his brother-in-law John MacKinnon.
