He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ian Carmichael (late Neva) and Nellie "Jean" Partington (John); and his parents, Ingersoll Carmichael and Nellie Carmichael (Fitch). He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Carmichael (Small); his children, Lee Carmichael (Sarah) and Debra Carmichael (Tom Green); his grandchildren, Emma, Jason Meng, Sam, Michele Carmichael, Nate Carmichael (Siobhan), Carleen Green, Darren Dakins and Travis Green; his great grandchildren, Calvin, McKinley, Presley and Lennox; and his sister Ann Vance (late Don).
