He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Margaret Smith (Young); and his siblings, Fraser Smith, Ilene Briscoe and Hilda Dillabough.
He is survived by: his spouse Lois Smith (McDermid); his children, Lynn Smith (Danielle) of St. Albert and Donna Lee Smith (Mike) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Melissa (Matt), Michelle (Julien), Dominique (Brodie), Patrick (Jamie), Treacey, Samantha and Sinead; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Emma and Hailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or C.N.I.B. would be appreciated by the family.
