He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Hammond and Carole Hammond; and his parents-in-law, Don and Carol Carter. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Kaleb and Kohen; his brother Shawn (Dayle); his siblings-in-law, Joanne, Brad (Leanne) and Julie; and his nieces and nephews, Caden, Kennedy, Hailey, Alison, Megan, Lauren, Ashlyn and Ella.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus Chapel (280 St David St S, Fergus, ON N1M2L5). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial donations can be directed to Wheels of Hope (Canadian Cancer Society Transportation Program) or the Fergus Firefighters Association (Antique Restoration).
