He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathryn Oldfield (Hughes); his children, Robert Oldfield (Jane) of Kingston, Lynda White (George) of Arthur and David Oldfield (Susan) of Fergus; and his grandchildren, Kerri Dejean-Wicks (Tim), Barbra Wagg (Ken), Natalie (Andrew), Teichman, Lauren Woods (Ryan) and Lesley McClement (Jay). He was also cherished by great grandchildren.

As requested by the family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be directed towards The Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus or Melville United Church.
