It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Viola Hayes (Fergus, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 78, on August 21, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband Ernie; her children, Christine (Kevin), Jane (Stefan) and Gary (Jen); and her grandsons, Matthew and Nathan. She is also survived by her many siblings, nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus Chapel (280 St David St S, Fergus, ON N1M2L5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Knox Presbyterian Church (51 Church St E, Elora, ON N0B1S0).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox-Elora Presbyterian Church.
