David Russell Sweeney Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Russell Sweeney of Fergus, Ontario, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff Sweeney and Nette Sweeney (Cudney); his brother Doug; and his father-in-law Jack Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Sweeney (Nixon); his daughters, Tanya (Andre) and Trina (Chris); his grandchildren, Emma, Andy, Sam and Charlie; his sisters, Barb (Jim Kelly), Sharon "Timmy" (Tom Little), Joyce Sweeney and Bette (Jim Dennis); and his mother-in-law Joan Nixon (Sharer). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.
