He was predeceased by: his son Gregory Smith; and his sisters, June Golberg, Mary Smith, Fay Dodds, Iris White, Shirley Kent and Noelle Sim.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Claire Jane Smith; his daughters, Nancy Jane Lowes (Dana), Sheila Ann Smith (Tom Fair) and Sandra Caroline Smith; his grandchild Devon Lowes; and his pet Mandy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
