He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughters, Sabrina Rahman (Shahed) and Virginia Kostiuk (Stephen); his brother Bill Bates (Andrea); his grandchildren, Sahara, Sabir, Hayley, Cole and James; and his nieces and nephews, Micheal, Scott, David, Dawn, Kate and Alexandra.

Visitors must RSVP, wear a mask and practice social distancing.
