She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bob Matthies; her daughters, Kim Burgess (Pete), Cheryl Carlo (Mike) and Susan Hogg (Ralph); her stepchildren, Lori and Kelly; her grandchildren, Robbie Carlo (Victoria), Brett Carlo (Sarah) and Brianne (Cody); her great grandchildren, Thatcher Brown, Adelaide and Grayson Carlo; her grandson Bryce Hogg; and her parents, Jeanette Schaus and Carl Schaus. She was also cherished by her three best friends.
As expressions of sympathy, the family would greatly appreciate donations be made to a charity near and dear to Carla's heart, Guelph-Wellington Women In Crisis.
