He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Carpenter; and his children, Lennard and Laurie. He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Rienzo (Joe); his daughter-in-law Susan Carpenter; his granddaughter Melissa Haist (Mike); his great grandchild Landon Haist; and his siblings, Doug (Loretta) and Joan Zonneveld (Leen).

Memorial donations made to The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated by the family.
