He was predeceased by: his wife Verna Eileen Hotchkiss (Webster); his son Paul Wayne Hotchkiss; his parents, Charles Birnie Hotchkiss and Della Beatrice Hotchkiss (Bailey); and his siblings, Dean Hotchkiss (Kay), Ruth Peckham, Charles Daniel Hotchkiss and Peter Hotchkiss.

He is survived by: his children, Margaret Hibbard (Vern), Bernice Raben, Linda Haskayne (Bob), Gary Hotchkiss (Geraldine), Nancy Moore (Chris), Keith Hotchkiss and Tom Hotchkiss (Susan); his daughter-in-law Sherri-May Hotchkiss; and his siblings, Elizabeth Lock, Mary Long (Harold), Martha Brobbel, Tim Hotchkiss (Beth) and Bailey.

The family gives their sincere thanks to the Garden City Manor staff, who struggled to care for everyone during the pandemic but always cared for and about each one individually.
