She was predeceased by: her spouse Fred Smithers; her stepchild Gary Smithers; and her parent Wallace Martin. She is survived by: her children, Krista Smithers and James Strum of Bobcaygeon; her stepchild Brian Smithers of Woodstock; her parent Thelma Martin; her siblings, Miles Martin (Jayne) of Bobcaygeon, Carolyn Mutch (Jonathan) of Winnipeg, Ivan Martin, Heather Martin of Bradford, Leonard Martin and Deborah Martin; and her sisters-in-law, Pamela Martin and Joyce McPherson. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
