He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Cameron; and his siblings, Florence, Bonnie, Diane, Patricia, Wilson, Wallace, Harry, Donald and Gerald.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene McElwain; his children, Nancy (Randy Martin) and Janet (Tim Sargent); his grandchildren, Shannon (Mike), Corey, Kevin (Genevieve) and Adam (Jordan); and his great grandchildren, Issac, Zackary, Kase, Kielle and Everett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
