She was predeceased by: her spouse James Mountenay (Jim); her parents, Thomas Foster and Jessie Foster; and her siblings, Margaret, Fred, Arnold, Ebby and Tom.

She is survived by: her children, Anthony Mountenay, Debbie Mountenay of Exeter, Christine Colfer, Marty Colfer of Vaughan, Eugene Mountenay and Sylvia Wood of Parkhill; her grandchildren, Joe Mountenay of Dartmouth, Chris Mountenay, Melissa Mountenay of Angus, Charmaine Cummings, Steve Cummings of Florida and Craig Harrison of Calgary; her great grandchildren, Tennille, Levi, Haleigh, Austin, Ella, Luke, Ashley, Justin, Tyler, Jamie and Sofia; and her siblings, Viola Gilchrist, Shirley Woodman, Mel Woodman and Dalhsie Duquette.
