He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Darling and Shirley Darling; his stepmother Marion Darling; and his sister Virginia Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Joy Darling (Pollock); his daughters, Sarah (Tom Woodland), Rebecca Darling (Chris Kennedy), Alyssa (Roger Howard) and Megan (Will Rempel); his grandchildren, Avah, Jack, Abbie, Maiya, Hunter, Ryan, Zoe, Lexi, Lucy, Sam, Alice and Andy; and his siblings, Jack (Ann Darling), Joe (Diane Darling), Jeff Darling of Sarnia, Sharon Edwards of Burlington, Alexandra Gow of London and Christene Scrimgeour of London. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Alzheimer Society, a charity near and dear to Jim's heart, would be appreciated by the family.
