He was predeceased by: his parents, Johann Kaumanns and Anna Maria Kaumanns (Reuter); his brother Hilarius Kaumanns; his brothers-in-law, Günter Jobs and Martin-Josef Maassen; his brother Agnes Rauen; and his sister-in-law Norbert Rauen.

He is survived by: his spouse Irmgard; his children, Johannes Kaumanns, Andrea Kaumanns of Germany, Hilmar Kaumanns, Carol Kaumanns, Lucan, Claudia and Norbert Schmitz of Germany; and his siblings-in-law, Peter Heuser of Germany, Christa Jobs of Germany, Marlies Winters of Germany, Theo Winters of Germany, Matthias Maassen of Germany, Monika Maassen of Germany, Marlene Maassen of Germany and Maria Kaumanns of Germany.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
