She was predeceased by: her spouse Edmond "Ted" Basil Melanson; her parents, Arthur Grondin and Marjorie Grondin (Cook); and her siblings, Sylvia Goboel, Blaize Grondin and Dale Grondin.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Macdonald (Nancy Petrie) of Grand Bend, Lynn Macdonald of Chatham and Elaine (Roy Daye); her grandchildren, Jennifer Macdonald, Chelsea Sitter and Matthew Sitter; her great grandchildren, Audrina Sitter and Jericho Sitter; her friend Jack Durr; and her son Dashwood. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.
