He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell "Bob" Dykstra and Beatrice Dykstra; his mother-in-law Gretta Richard; his sister Grace Yearley; and his brother-in-law James Onn.

He is survived by: his spouse Laurie Dykstra (Richard); his children, Jason, Erin Dykstra, Janelle and Moe Salih; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Owen Dykstra, Reya and Halee Salih; his brother Michael Dykstra; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Yearley and Lynne Richard-Onn. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre, Habitat for Humanity Huron County, or the Knox Presbyterian Church Bayfield would be appreciated by the family.
