He was predeceased by: his wife Anita (Morta); his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Boezak of South Africa, Sylvia Flotman of New Zealand, Joan Morta of South Africa and Rosie Morta of South Africa; his parents, William Keith and Dorothy Belle Riddell (Spong); his siblings, Douglas (Betty Riddell), Beth (Jerry King) and Jean Riddell; and his siblings-in-law, Lois, Lorne Ford, Marguerite, Desmond Firth, Peter Morta, Maxwell Morta, Alwin Boezak and Leonard Flotman.

He is survived by: his former wife Leone Riddell (Bryan) of Exeter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
