He was predeceased by: his significant other Mary Ilene Richardson (Mathers); his siblings, Bob (Barb Oesch) and Dorothy (Reg Morrison); and his parents, Lloyd "Sam" Earl and Vera Guenther (Oesch).

He is survived by: his child Lee Anne; his son-in-law Trevor Mills of Kirkton; his grandchildren, Zoey and Shey Mills; and his siblings, Jim (Mhairi Guenther), Betty (Joe O'Rourke), Barb Van Gorp of London, John (Donna Mathers), Ross (Marlene Mathers) and Lloyd (Bonnie Mathers). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
