He was predeceased by: his spouse Pauline Brintnell (Robinson); his parents, Alvin Brintnell and Irene Brintnell; and his siblings, James, Madeline, Almira, Jack, Anita, Douglas, Frank and Etta.

He is survived by: his children, Dan, Donna Brintnell of Exeter, Mike, Patty Brintnell of Exeter, Bill Brintnell and Chetna Bhatt of London; his grandchildren, Tomas Brintnell, Travis Brintnell, Connor Brintnell and Bart Rynen; his great grandchild Zoey; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Robinson of St. Marys, Wanda Robinson of Goderich and June Hodgson of Exeter.
