He was predeceased by: his son Kevin (Jo-Ann Gilmour); his sibling Verlyn (Arnold Lindenfield); his parents, Tom Gilmour and Molly Gilmour; his brother Jack; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Gilmour, Joan Gilmour and Neil Romphf.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gilmour (Bray); his sons, Paul (Marilyn Gilmour) and David (Marj Gilmour); his grandchildren, Breanne, Lauren, Nolan, Alanna, Bailey and Johnathon; and his sisters, Alice Gilmour of Ailsa Craig, Liz (Alan Scott) and Patricia Romphf of Exeter.
