He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Cecil" and Olive Lovie (Shortt); his brothers, Gary Lovie and David Lovie; and his sister-in-law Sally Lovie.
He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Lovie of Exeter, Laurie (Ted Stanlake) and Bill Lovie (Diane Lovie) of London. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
