He was predeceased by: his grandson Chad; his brother Gerald; and his brother-in-law Eric Kints. He is survived by: his wife Alma Ballantyne (Hern); his children, Brian (Heather), Jim (Robin), Shirlee (Allan) and Diane (Chuck); his grandchildren, Cory (Jessica), Courtney (Ben), Connor (Meagan), Suzanne (Nathan), Ryan, Tammy (Chris), Brad (Lindsey), Winona (Dan), Charlie and Willie; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Cameron, Raelyn, Jaden, Hudson, Scarlett and Blake; and his sister Helen Kints.

Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
