He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Dougall (Madge); his son Brian Dougall; his siblings, Margaret Coates (Jack), Harry and William Dougall; and his brothers-in-law, Keith Madge and Basil Crawford.

He is survived by: his children, Robert, Pearl Dougall of Usborne Township, Helen and Bruce Bateman of Belleville; his grandchildren, Chandra, Michael Alexander of Exeter, Alyssa Dougall of Usborne Township and Maggie Bateman of Belleville; and his sisters-in-law, Marian Dougall of Exeter, Fern Dougall of Exeter, Phyllis Crawford of Exeter and Doreen Madge of Thorndale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
