He was predeceased by: his parents, David George and Jennie Stuart MacFarlane (Ethel); his daughters, Jeannie and Peggy MacFarlane; his granddaughter Brittany; his siblings, John, George, Gordon, Lloyd, Elizabeth and Jean; and his siblings-in-law, Alan Thompson and Marion Lefleck.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel MacFarlane; and his nieces and nephews, Fran (Joaquin), Alan (Carol Brown), Jean (Don McIntyre), Bruce (Karen Wilson), Stewart (Ann Gamble), Helen (Chuck White), Marilyn, Mary, Dorothy (Kim Legassic), Kenny, Ronnie (Jennifer Lindsay), Katie (Bill Davies) and Nancy (Brian Stead).
