It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ron Gillett (Essex, Ontario), who passed away on January 25, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ron Gillett to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Gillett and Judy Gillett; and his brother Dan. He is survived by: his wife Tami; his children, Jana Gillett and Dane Gillett (Janie); his siblings, Sandy and Carol; his parents-in-law, Bernard and Marilyn Allen; and his siblings-in-law, Diana and Dana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made towards an education fund for Tyson & Cole, and it would be greatly appreciated by the family. (Cheques made to Jana Gillett).

“My deepest sympathies to the Gillett family. I met and knew Ron from playing hockey in Fort Erie tournaments. Memories....very down to earth, quiet and easy going, liked to laugh a lot, good hockey player, loved to be part of the team, liked to have fun and a true family man. After that we would see each other around Essex and was he was always very pleasant and easy to talk to. Great guy. I am very sorry to learn of Ron's passing. My heart goes out to everyone.”
