She was predeceased by: her husband John; her parents, Baccus Simon and Margaret Simon; and her siblings, Adam, Moses (Helen), Dorothy (Lorne) and David.

She is survived by: her children, Catherine (James), Nicholas, Richard (Frances) and Cynthia (Reno); her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Siobahn), Lindsay (Stephen), Marnie (Roger), Matthew and Isabella; her great grandchildren, Julia, Kingsley, Victoria, Mason, Ethan, Haley and Ryan; her sister-in-law Mary Simon; and her caregivers, Seana, Jennifer, Gwen, Carly and Lisa Girard of Care. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
