He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Fantinato and Maria Fantinato; his father-in-law Domenic; and his sister Gina of Italy. He is survived by: his wife Ida; his son Dave Fantinato (Teresa); his mother-in-law Connie Marinacci; his siblings, Eido of Italy and Elio of Italy; his brothers-in-law, Hector Marinacci (Betty) and John Marinacci (Jane); and his close friend Diesel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
